Your Metrics

Last updated 28 October 2026

A Theologos profile is not a scoreboard. Its metrics say what you have read and what you have brought to the study of Scripture with others — nothing is ranked, and no number ever goes down because of what someone else did.

On your profile

15

Chapters

8

Reflections

3

Conclusions

24

Amens

Connections and “Reading since” sit beside your name; Circles shows on other people’s pages.

Chapters

Your setting

Chapters of the Bible you have read yourself.

Every chapter you open and read counts once — whichever Bible you read in, on your own (“Just me”) or with a circle as your reading lens. Reading a chapter again does not count it twice.

This is your reading, not your circle’s. A circle marking a chapter as read or discussed changes nothing here.

Reflections

Everyone

Reflections you have asked in your circles.

A reflection is a question or thought you add to a chapter in a circle — what your circle then explores together. Every reflection you have written counts, whatever its status: Open, Exploring or Resolved.

Conclusions

Everyone

Conclusions you have written.

When a circle reaches an answer to a reflection, someone writes it down as the conclusion. This counts the conclusions you wrote — on your own reflections or on anyone else’s in your circles. It is the closest thing to “answers” on Theologos.

Amens

Everyone

Amens other people have left on what you shared.

Amen is the one reaction on Theologos. This counts the Amens others left on your posts and on your milestones in the Community feed. Your own Amens on your own posts are not counted.

It is a thank-you count, not a score: there is no ranking, no leaderboard, and nothing that takes it away.

Circles

Everyone

Circles you are a member of.

Reading circles you have joined or created, public and private alike. Only the number is shown; which circles they are stays between you and their members — except the ones you have in common with the person looking.

Connections

Everyone

People you are connected with.

A connection is mutual: one person asks, the other accepts. Church pages are different — you follow a church, and that is counted on the church’s page, not here.

Reading since

Everyone

The month you joined Theologos.

Simply when your account was created. It is the same whether you signed up with Apple, Google or an email address, and it does not change if you started as a guest and saved your account later.

The week streak

3 wk

Weeks in a row your circle has read or discussed a chapter.

The flame on the Read home and on a circle’s home is the circle’s streak, not a personal one. If a week is missed the streak starts again — with one week of grace, so a quiet week does not break it as long as the week before had something.

It is not shown on your profile. Your own reading has a streak too, counted the same way from the chapters you read yourself: when it reaches a new high, a small milestone appears in the Community feed for the people who may see your progress.

Who can see them

  • EveryoneReflections, Conclusions, Amens, Circles, Connections and Reading since — anyone who can open your profile, including visitors who are not signed in.
  • Your settingChapters follows Share my progress with — Everyone, Connections or Only me — under Edit profile. The same setting decides who sees “Currently in …”, the chapter you are reading now, and your streak milestones.
  • Only youYour own week streak. A private account also hides your posts and your connections list from people you are not connected with; it does not hide the metrics above.

If they look different from before

Until 28 October 2026 a profile showed the reading of whichever circle you had chosen as your reading lens, not your own. If your Chapters went up or down that day, that is why: it now counts only what you have read yourself. Reflections, Conclusions and Amens have always been your own.
